Giving Back on Unsplash

When I retired from teaching
one of the first things I did was to
purchase a 35mm camera.
I wanted to learn how to shoot in manual mode and capture
the beauty and wonder of life around me.

I also wanted to give back
to all the creatives like me who
use the amazing photo-sharing website,
Unsplash.

Generous photographers upload their work to Unsplash
offering it for completely free use to anyone wishing to download their images.

Now, four years later,
I have uploaded over 370 of my photographs to Unsplash!
I am thrilled and humbled that they are being used.

Currently, my images have almost 6 million views and over 40,000 downloads.
I'm in the top 10% of contributors.

Free.
I love that word for so many reasons.
