Why Interesting?

Why would I say
I am a collector and crafter of
interesting, wonderful stories
as the title of my webpage?
Interesting sounds so...
​bland.
Like oatmeal without toppings.
"Oh. That's ...interesting."
I guess it is because I know
the most wonderful stories ever written
will never be read by some students
unless they first find it
​interesting.
Perhaps that is true of adults, too.
And agents.
