Receive Home

The words "receive" and "home" took on new meaning
for me this morning.
In John 1:9-13, John says that Jesus
"came to His own, and His own did not receive Him"
I learned that "He came to his own"
has the same original meaning as
"he came home."

John goes on to say,
"But as many as received Him,
to them He gave the right to become children of God,
to those who believe in His name..."

In John 14:1-4
Jesus tells us,
"in my Father's house are many mansions..
"I go to prepare a place for you..."
"If I go to prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to myself,
that where I am you may be also.

If we receive Him, He will receive us.
